Acupuncture for better health

Since I started my practice, I have found Acupuncture to be one of the most powerful and fascinating of the natural medicines. Over the years I have had the opportunity to introduce this medicine to my patients and the results have been amazing.

Acupuncture was developed over 2000 years ago as part of a holistic system of medicine called Traditional Chinese Medicine. This medicine looks to address health by restoring balance to the body.

Acupuncture therapy - alternative medicine

Acupuncture needles are very fine needles that are inserted into points along energy channels, called meridians. By stimulating or regulating the flow of energy along these channels, we can rebalance the organs that correspond to them.

Acupuncture has long been used in alleviating pain and improving tissue healing after injuries. More recently, medical research has shown that acupuncture benefits a variety of health conditions, including IBS, headaches, infertility, insomnia…as you can see the list goes on and on.

Because acupuncture helps to strengthen and harmonize the body, we can treat many different conditions. Based on our observation of the patterns of imbalance in the body, the treatment is customized to tonify the organs that are weakened or calm the organs that are overactive.
