Spring Cleanse

I love this time of year, we can finally say goodbye to the snow and hello to milder weather and sun!

Spring signifies renewal and is the perfect time to consider giving your body a ‘tune up’. I get a lot of questions about what makes up a healthy cleanse or detox. First off, why should we consider doing a cleanse? Every day our bodies are burdened by toxins that we are exposed to through the pollution in the air we breathe, the pesticides in our foods and the chemicals in our environments. We calls these substances toxins because over time they build up in our bodies, leading to all kinds of health problems. These include: fatigue, poor focus, headaches, joint pains, bloating, constipation, allergies, insomnia, acne, the list can go on and on.

It is important to encourage the bowels to move regularly as this is a major route of elimination for the body. We also use herbs to improve the liver function.
